Digital Blackout in Balochistan: Mobile Internet Shut Down Across 36 Districts

Quetta: Balochistan has once again plunged into a large-scale digital blackout as the provincial Home Department has suspended all 3G and 4G mobile internet services across 36 districts from **November 10 to November 16, 2025**.
According to the official notification, the suspension has been enforced due to the prevailing law and order situation in the province. The affected districts include **Quetta, Gwadar, Chaman, Khuzdar, Turbat, Kalat, Lasbela, Mastung, Naseerabad, Sibi, Zhob, Harnai, Panjgur, Kech, Kachhi, Sorab, Kohlu, Duki, Qila Saifullah, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Barkhan, Awaran, Jaffarabad, Musakhail, Kharan, Ziarat, Dalbandin, Nushki, Usta Muhammad, Washuk, Bolan, Jhal Magsi, Hub, and Dera Bugti.**
The Home Department stated that the suspension applies to specific areas within a 5-kilometer radius of designated coordinates. Government sources said the measure aims to maintain law and order and prevent potential security threats.
The internet shutdown has caused widespread disruption, affecting students, journalists, business owners, and the general public, who have condemned the move as another restriction on access to information in the province.
