Senator Faisal Vawda Says He’s Preparing for the “28th Amendment,” Calls 27th a Government Move

**Islamabad (Qudrat Daily)** — Senator Faisal Vawda has said that the proposed 27th Constitutional Amendment is a government initiative and that the government will engage with all stakeholders regarding it. “Don’t be too eager about the 27th Amendment — I’m already preparing for the 28th,” he remarked.

Speaking to the media after meeting JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad, Senator Vawda said that he frequently meets the veteran politician, describing him as a “strong leader” who understands the political situation deeply. “Our suggestions were presented to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and he assured us he would review them. He has always stood for Pakistan and played a vital role in national politics,” Vawda added.

When asked about the number game in Parliament, he said that the meeting did not include discussions on numbers.

Commenting on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Afridi’s recent political statements, Faisal Vawda said, “It’s good that young Suhail Afridi is taking initiative. We welcome him, but if he comes to Islamabad to spread chaos, there will be consequences — both punishment and restrictions.”

The senator emphasized that Pakistan faces not only traditional warfare but also “cyber, narrative, and economic wars.” He urged strengthening the armed forces, saying, “A strong military ensures a strong defense. Any amendments necessary for national security will be made. Pakistan will always remain strong and united.”
