Three Children Martyred, Five Injured in Bajaur Blast

Bajaur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:At least **three children were martyred and five others injured** when an explosive device detonated in the Laghari area of Bajaur district on **September 27**.

According to security officials, the children were playing with **explosive remnants left behind by militants**, when the device went off. The injured were immediately airlifted by the Pakistan Army via helicopter to **CMH Peshawar**, where they are receiving treatment under the supervision of specialist doctors.

Police and security agencies cordoned off the area and collected forensic evidence from the blast site.

Security sources stated that the incident highlights the **extent of explosive traps laid by militant groups** in the region. They further noted that such elements have previously used **mosques and homes as shields** to conduct terrorist activities.

Earlier, in **Tirah Valley**, several civilians were killed and 14 militants eliminated when stored explosives belonging to the same group detonated.
