Governor Mandokhail: True Leadership Lies in Public Trust and Service

Quetta:Governor Balochistan **Jaffar Khan Mandokhail** has said that the true greatness of leadership depends on *public trust*, which can only be earned through selfless service and constant engagement with the people.
Speaking to various delegations at the Governor House in Quetta, Mandokhail emphasized that since assuming office, he has kept the doors of the Governor House open to the general public. “I firmly believe that political leaders are the custodians of the people’s trust, and every action of theirs should ultimately benefit the public,” he remarked.
The governor noted that even those who had never visited the Governor House before are now able to come forward, meet him, and share their grievances. “I listen attentively to the concerns of citizens, even when their issues are related to ministers or the civil bureaucracy,” he said, adding that such interactions give him satisfaction and peace of mind.
Mandokhail stressed that all elected representatives have a political responsibility to prioritize public issues and complaints, ensuring their resolution through practical steps. He further said that public service strengthens the bond between leaders and citizens, promotes transparency and accountability, and helps create a more just and equitable society.
“By serving the people, political leaders can not only maintain public confidence but also build a stronger connection with the majority, paving the way for a fairer and more inclusive society,” the governor concluded.
