Balochistan High Court Takes Notice of Debris on Quetta Airport Road, Seeks Detailed Report by Tomorrow

Quetta: The Balochistan High Court has taken strict notice of debris lying for over one and a half months on Airport Road in Quetta, causing severe inconvenience to thousands of residents.
A two-member bench headed by Chief Justice Justice Muhammad Kamran Khan Mulla Khel and Justice Justice Najamuddin Mengal heard the petition filed by Advocate Syed Nazeer Agha.
During the hearing, the petitioner informed the court that major roads in Quetta, including Airport Road at Tor Nassar, had been unnecessarily dug up, leaving debris scattered and subjecting the public to hardship.
The chief justice expressed strong displeasure over the situation. Copies of the petition were provided to Assistant Advocate General Shehak Baloch, Assistant Attorney General Muhammad Farid Dogar, Malik Anwar Naseem Kasi, and National Highway Authority representative Habibullah Kakar.
The court issued notices to senior government officials and adjourned the hearing until February 26, 2026. It directed the authorities, including the National Highway Authority, to submit a detailed report by the next hearing on the alleged unnecessary excavation and the current condition of Airport Road and other main roads in Quetta.
