Yasmeen Rashid Files Appeals Against Sentences in May 9 Cases

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr. Yasmeen Rashid has filed appeals against her convictions in three cases linked to the events of May 9.
The appeals challenge verdicts in cases relating to the **attack on Shadman police station**, **arson at Sherpao Bridge**, and **vehicles set ablaze near Jinnah House**.
In her petitions, Dr. Rashid has requested the **suspension of her sentences**, arguing that the trial court failed to properly assess the facts. She urged the Lahore High Court to overturn the convictions and order her release until a final decision on the appeals is made.
Earlier, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) had sentenced Dr. Yasmeen Rashid to **10 years in prison in each of the three cases**.
