CM Sarfraz Bugti Chairs Key Meeting on Quetta Development Project, Urges Timely Completion and Quality Assurance

Quetta:A high-level meeting on the **Quetta Development Project** was held on Monday at the **Chief Minister’s Secretariat**, presided over by **Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti**. The meeting was attended by **Commissioner Quetta Division Shahzaib Kakar** and **Project Director Muhammad Rafiq Baloch**, who briefed the CM in detail on the progress of ongoing development initiatives.
During the briefing, it was revealed that **six major projects** under the Quetta Development Project have already been **completed**, while an additional **six projects are expected to be finalized by December this year**. These projects focus on **infrastructure improvement**, **urban facilities**, and **enhancing the aesthetic appeal** of the provincial capital.
CM Sarfraz Bugti emphasized the strategic and symbolic importance of Quetta, calling it the **”heart of the province.”** He stated that **no negligence or delays** in the execution of development projects would be tolerated.
He directed the concerned departments to **accelerate the pace of work** to ensure that the **benefits reach the public without delay**. He also reiterated the government’s commitment to **modernizing Quetta** and providing **better facilities** to its residents.
The Chief Minister instructed all relevant departments to **maintain high-quality standards** in development work and to ensure **timely completion** of all projects. He also called for **effective monitoring mechanisms** to ensure transparency and accountability.
The meeting also included discussions on **long-term strategies** for the **overall development** of Quetta city, improved **urban services**, and **sustainable solutions** to civic problems.
CM Bugti concluded by reaffirming that the **Government of Balochistan** is fully committed to transforming Quetta into a **modern, livable city** that reflects the aspirations of its people.
