JUI Quetta Expresses Concern Over Internet Shutdown, Vows to Defend Mosques and Madaris

Quetta:A key meeting of **Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), Quetta District**, was held under the chairmanship of district Ameer **Sheikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Hafiz Hussain Ahmad Sharodi**, with heads of committees from all nine constituencies in attendance. The meeting focused on the organizational activities of the party and important strategic decisions were made.

During the session, it was decided that **election schedules for inactive units** will be issued within the next **two days** to ensure internal democratic functioning within the party.

The meeting also expressed serious concern over the ongoing **internet shutdown in the name of law and order**, calling it a **clear failure of the provincial government**. “People are being charged millions in the name of digital packages, yet internet services have been suspended for 20 days,” the participants noted.

Addressing the gathering, Maulana Hafiz Hussain Ahmad Sharodi criticized the federal government, urging it to take **measured and wise decisions under the guidance of religious scholars**, particularly when dealing with sensitive issues related to **mosques and religious institutions**. He warned that any attempt to **demolish mosques** would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

He affirmed that **JUI’s commitment to the protection of mosques and madaris is unwavering**, and that the party is prepared to use all **legal, democratic, and peaceful means** to defend these sacred places. “Every member and leader of JUI is part of this mission,” he added, emphasizing that the party will **continue its peaceful struggle** and will not compromise on its stance.

Maulana Sharodi concluded by reiterating that **JUI will not accept any compromise on the sanctity and security of mosques and madaris**, and called on all members to remain active and united in their cause.
