DG ISPR Highlights Peace Efforts in Balochistan During Student Interaction

Islamabad: During an ongoing internship program organized by ISPR, Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry held a special session with students, engaging in a detailed discussion about Pakistan with a particular focus on Balochistan.
The session included a thorough Q\&A, where students from Balochistan raised questions that were comprehensively addressed by the DG ISPR.
Lieutenant General Chaudhry emphasized that military operations against terrorism in Balochistan are intelligence-based and aimed at targeting terrorists and their facilitators, not harming innocent civilians. He clarified that simply vacating areas and then returning does not solve the problem; success is only possible with active cooperation from the local population.
He praised the sacrifices and resilience of the people of Balochistan, noting that youth, women, and children are increasingly taking ownership of their region and future.
Highlighting Pakistan’s foundation on the principles of faith and unity, the DG ISPR acknowledged the province’s diverse linguistic groups, emphasizing that all share the common goal of serving Pakistan.
The session also shed light on military sacrifices, including the service of Major Muhammad Anwar Kakad, and ongoing operations against terrorists.
Lieutenant General Chaudhry stressed that sustainable peace in Balochistan can only be achieved through the combined efforts of the public and the administration.
