Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan to Intensify Struggle for Rights After Successful Long March

Quetta:Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan, MPA Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, has expressed strong confidence in the success of the recent *Rights of Balochistan Long March* and the role of the party’s dedicated workers in achieving its objectives. Speaking at the monthly organizational review meeting of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan, he emphasized that the party’s workers had made significant sacrifices during the march, showing unwavering commitment without any concern for their lives or wealth.

He stated, “Insha’Allah, with the dedication of our loyal workers and the support of the public, we will succeed in reclaiming the rights from the looters.” The party has vowed to hold the government accountable for the promises made during negotiations with the march participants, ensuring that the demands for justice will be met.

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman also mentioned that Jamaat-e-Islami will be celebrating its foundation day from August 21 to 31 and the *Seerat-un-Nabi* week from September 1 to 10, organizing seminars and events across the province. He announced that one thousand public committees will be established in Balochistan to strengthen the party’s grassroots movement.

The MPA highlighted several key issues affecting the region, including unemployment, lawlessness, military control, and the mistreatment of the public at checkpoints. He blamed the security forces, establishment, and incompetent rulers for the ongoing crisis in Balochistan, stating that these issues were pushing the youth towards extremism and making the province a ‘no-go area.’

“Jamaat-e-Islami is committed to uniting all segments of society through democratic struggle and resistance. We will continue to fight for the rights of the people of Balochistan. The responsibility for the province’s problems lies with the security forces, the establishment, and the imposed, corrupt rulers,” he said.

The party also condemned the ongoing atrocities such as enforced disappearances, the killing of innocent civilians, and the economic hardships caused by border closures. Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman stated that Jamaat-e-Islami will intensify its efforts for the restoration of peace, justice, and the recovery of missing persons. He also pointed out the negative impact of border restrictions on the economy, with trade coming to a halt and widespread unemployment leading to greater public despair.

During the meeting, the participants praised the success of the Islamabad Long March, which they believed had significantly raised awareness about the pressing issues of Balochistan. The leadership expressed confidence that with continued public support, they would compel the ruling authorities to address the province’s long-standing problems.

Additionally, the party is planning a large-scale protest in Quetta, aiming to bring together one lakh people to demand justice for the people of Balochistan and an end to the ongoing violence and instability in the region. The party leadership emphasized that they would continue to stand against oppression and work towards securing the rights of the Baloch people through peaceful and democratic means.
