utrage as Matchmaker Mrs. Khan Criticizes Overweight Women on TV: “No Fashion Suits Them”

Islamabad: Mrs. Khan, a self-proclaimed relationship and matchmaking expert, has come under fire once again for her controversial comments—this time targeting overweight women during a recent television appearance.
Known for her outspoken views on marriage culture and societal trends, Mrs. Khan was invited on a show to discuss body image and matchmaking. During the segment, she harshly criticized plus-sized women, claiming they are often rejected in the marriage market despite making efforts to look fashionable.
“Skinny girls are ‘in’ these days,” she began, before launching into a tirade against overweight women. “No matter how much they groom themselves, no fashion suits them,” she said, adding that such women are repeatedly turned down and often resort to eating more out of frustration, leading to a vicious cycle.
She further claimed that overweight women stand a better chance of getting proposals if they have a good job, suggesting that financial stability can sometimes outweigh physical appearance in marriage considerations.
Social media users have strongly condemned Mrs. Khan’s remarks, accusing her of promoting body shaming and reinforcing harmful stereotypes. Many have pointed out that such statements demean women and perpetuate discrimination based on body type, urging media platforms to be more responsible in choosing their guests.
