Pakistan and U.S. Finalize Trade Deal, Strengthening Bilateral Relations

Washington:A significant breakthrough in Pakistan-U.S. relations as President Donald Trump announced that a major trade agreement between the two nations has been finalized.*
In a statement shared on social media, President Trump revealed that the trade deal with Pakistan is now complete. The partnership will focus on mutual cooperation, especially in the energy sector, with particular emphasis on the development of oil facilities. He further mentioned that both countries are currently in the process of selecting an oil company to lead this collaboration.
Looking ahead, President Trump hinted at the possibility of Pakistan eventually selling oil to India, providing a glimpse into the future dynamics of the energy market in the region.
Pakistan’s Ministry of Finance issued an official statement confirming the successful completion of the agreement. The deal aims to promote bilateral trade, enhance market access, attract investment, and increase cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The breakthrough occurred during a meeting between Pakistan’s Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Luttig, and U.S. Trade Representative Jamison Greer.
In a video statement, Minister Aurangzeb emphasized that the agreement will benefit both nations. He added that the focus should be on fostering trade and investment in tandem, highlighting that the agreement marks the beginning of a broader economic, bilateral, and strategic partnership.
