Strong Winds Hit Karachi, Light Drizzle Expected in Some Areas

KARACHI: Stronger-than-usual winds have swept across Karachi, with wind speeds recorded at 36 kilometers per hour (20 nautical miles), according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). The department has warned that wind speeds may increase further, especially in the city’s outskirts, where dusty winds are also expected.
The weather forecast for the next 24 hours suggests humid conditions with a cloudy sky and chances of light drizzle in parts of the city. Similar weather, including strong winds, is expected to continue into Tuesday.
On Monday, the minimum temperature in Karachi was recorded at 27.5°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to range between 33°C and 35°C. Humidity levels are projected to stay between 60% and 80%, making the heat feel more intense than the actual temperature.
