Agreement Reached to Establish 136 New Waste Disposal Points in Punjab

Lahore: A meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has agreed to set up 136 additional waste disposal points across the province.
During the meeting, a briefing was given on the “Clean Punjab Project,” revealing that the World Bank and other countries have shown interest in investing in the initiative. The briefing also covered the implementation of e-invoices and electronic billing for sanitation fees under the project.
Maryam Nawaz stated that the “Clean Punjab Program” is progressing successfully and assured that complaints regarding cleanliness in certain districts will be addressed. She emphasized that contractors failing to perform their duties properly will be removed.
She directed that performance be enhanced in line with public expectations, and suggested the use of Safe City cameras to monitor the cleanliness situation in real-time.
