IHC Seeks Imran Khan’s Response Over Plea to Remove His X Account Posts

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought a response from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan regarding a petition seeking the removal of his posts from social media platform X (formerly Twitter), which have been termed “illegal and malicious” by the petitioner.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of the Islamabad High Court heard the case. The petition was filed by citizen Ghulam Murtaza through his counsel, Barrister Zafarullah, who requested the court to order the deletion and blocking of Imran Khan’s allegedly unlawful and inflammatory tweets.
The court has directed all parties, including the National Cyber Crime Agency and the Superintendent of Adiala Jail, to submit their responses within two weeks.
The petition seeks the removal of posts allegedly made from Imran Khan’s X account during his incarceration and calls for measures to prevent their further dissemination online.
