Shah Rukh Khan Injured During ‘King’ Film Shoot, Transferred to the US for Treatment

Mumbai: Bollywood’s King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, was injured during the shooting of his upcoming film “King”. Following the accident, he has been transferred to the United States for medical treatment.
According to Indian media reports, the incident occurred in Mumbai during the filming of an action scene when Shah Rukh Khan injured his back. Although the injury was not deemed serious, doctors have advised him to rest for at least a month for full recovery.
Sources revealed that the accident happened while filming a high-octane action sequence, in which Shah Rukh Khan had decided to perform his own stunts. Close associates of the actor shared that he has previously been injured on set but has always returned to work after a quick recovery. In 2017, while shooting for “Zero”, he had also injured his neck, which required treatment in the United States.
In light of the recent injury, the production team of “King” has suspended shooting until Shah Rukh Khan recovers. Industry insiders have mentioned that this delay might add extra costs to the film’s budget, but the producers are prioritizing the actor’s health.
King, which began shooting last year, is expected to release in early 2026. Initially directed by Soujoy Ghosh, the film is now under the direction of Pathaan’s successful director Siddharth Anand.
The film is notable not only for Shah Rukh Khan’s prominent role but also for marking the acting debut of his daughter, Suhana Khan, who will play a significant part in the movie. Abhishek Bachchan is also starring in a key role. Reports suggest that the film will explore the father-daughter relationship between Shah Rukh and Suhana, which will add emotional depth to the storyline.
Shah Rukh Khan’s fans are praying for his speedy recovery. Last year, the actor dominated the box office with hits like Pathaan and Jawan, and his film Dunki also performed spectacularly internationally. In a recent interview, Shah Rukh mentioned that King will mark a powerful new chapter in his career.
The shooting of the film will resume once the actor’s health improves, and there are hopes that Shah Rukh Khan will make efforts to keep the release on schedule so his fans can enjoy his performance on the big screen soon.
