Tribal Leaders in Khuzdar Demand Action Against Road Blockades
Khuzdar:Tribal leaders including Mir Faiyaz Ahmed Zangi, Mir Akhlaq Ahmed Khudrani, Mir Jalal Ahmed Gangu, and Mir Nooruddin Khudrani held a press conference at Khuzdar Press Club, demanding immediate action from the Balochistan government against the frequent road blockades plaguing various parts of Balochistan.
They expressed grave concerns over the disruption caused to travelers due to road closures, which have been orchestrated by unidentified groups using various pretexts. These blockades have not only inconvenienced thousands of travelers, including women and children, but have also severely impacted medical emergencies.
The leaders emphasized that these actions are unlawful and driven by non-democratic motives. They called upon the government to take stringent legal measures against those responsible for causing distress to the general public.
Furthermore, they highlighted that certain extremist parties are using these blockades to propagate agendas that are against Baloch traditions and values, particularly targeting women and children. They urged the public to distance themselves from such groups and prevent them from exploiting their vulnerable situations.
In conclusion, the leaders demanded that Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Saeedullah Beig, form a special committee to address public grievances promptly and issue a legal order to deter future road blockades that exacerbate public issues rather than resolve them.
