Rain and Flood Devastation Continues: Six More Dead in Last 24 Hours, Death Toll Reaches 111

Islamabad: The toll from monsoon rains and flooding across Pakistan continues to rise, with six more fatalities reported in the past 24 hours, according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
Between June 26 and July 14, a total of 111 people have lost their lives due to rain-related incidents. The NDMA also reported one injury in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of injured to 212 since June 26.
Partial damage to homes has also been reported, although official figures are yet to be released.
Rising water levels in rivers are being observed, attributed to continuous monsoon rains and melting glaciers.
The Meteorological Department has forecast that the current spell of rain will persist until July 17.
