Political War of Words: JUI’s Hafiz Hamdullah Hits Back at KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur Over Fazlur Rehman Remarks

PESHAWAR – A political spat has intensified between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) following Gandapur’s scathing criticism of party chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman. In response, senior JUI leader Hafiz Hamdullah launched a fiery rebuttal, questioning Gandapur’s political legitimacy and accusing him of hypocrisy.

During a party gathering in Lahore, CM Gandapur claimed that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had no real mandate and labeled him a “Form 47 beneficiary.” He further alleged that Fazlur Rehman’s electoral victories lacked merit, asserting that only one of his MNAs and two MPAs were elected fairly, while the rest were “products of rigging.”

Gandapur’s remarks came in response to Fazlur Rehman’s earlier statement that any political change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should originate from within PTI, rather than external forces.

Reacting sharply, Hafiz Hamdullah said, “The man who calls Maulana Fazlur Rehman a Form 47 beneficiary should first explain under whose NOC he became Chief Minister of KP.” He sarcastically remarked, “You’re not part of the three or the thirteen—you’re part of the 313,” mocking Gandapur’s perceived political relevance.

Hamdullah criticized the current KP government’s legitimacy, saying, “Your government wasn’t formed through strength of mandate, but through force and money. Even within your own party, dissenting voices are rising.”

He also alleged electoral manipulation, stating, “You didn’t win the election through votes, but through notes.” He added that while the province is in turmoil and people yearn for peace, Gandapur is busy “boasting in Lahore and returning empty-handed.”

The exchange underscores growing political tensions in the region, with both leaders accusing each other of exploiting the system for personal and political gains.
