Balochistan CM Sarfaraz Bugti Accuses Anti-State Elements of Grave Human Rights Violations

Quetta: The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, has stated that anti-state elements are involved in serious human rights violations. He made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation from the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan in Quetta.
Bugti emphasized that there is a significant disparity between the perception of Balochistan and the actual ground realities, and it is crucial to understand this difference. He stressed the importance of human rights organizations being fully informed about Balochistan’s true history and the realities on the ground. He also pointed out that the accession of the State of Kalat was not forced but was done with consent.
He further added that the killing of innocents on the basis of identity reflects the malicious intentions of “Fitna al-Hindustan” (the sinister designs of India), and that the actions of terrorist organizations are not about human rights but aimed at breaking Pakistan. Bugti also pointed out that the sponsors of these terrorist organizations have made their intentions clear in the global media.
The Chief Minister questioned how the killing of unarmed travelers based on their identity could be considered a war for human rights. He remarked that terrorists are not interested in negotiations and their sole objective is to break Pakistan apart.
Addressing the issue of missing persons, Bugti noted that it is not just a problem in Balochistan, but one faced by other provinces and countries as well. He mentioned that comprehensive legislation regarding missing persons has already been enacted in Balochistan.
In conclusion, he urged human rights organizations to openly condemn the killings of innocent Punjabis and all acts of terrorism in the region.
