Nausheen Shah Opens Up About Politics and Friendships in the Showbiz Industry
Lahore: Renowned Pakistani actress and host Nausheen Shah has shed light on the behind-the-scenes politics and friendships within the showbiz industry.
In a recent appearance on Geo News’ talk show hosted by Tabish Hashmi, Nausheen candidly answered questions from both the host and fans present on the show.
One fan asked whether the entertainment industry also faces internal politics like other professions. Responding to the question, Nausheen confirmed, “Yes, it does. But more than politics, favoritism plays a major role — deciding who gets cast and who doesn’t.”
Host Tabish Hashmi further asked whether genuine friendships exist in showbiz, noting that many people believe true friends are made in childhood, not during a professional career.
Nausheen responded, “Absolutely, there are many friendships in the industry. For example, Hania Aamir shares a close bond with Wajahat Rauf and Shazia Wajahat’s children, and there’s a strong friendship between Momal Sheikh and Hasan Rizvi.”
When asked who her best friend in the industry is, Nausheen immediately named Zara Tareen. “Zara and Anoushey Ashraf stood by me during tough times,” she said. She also mentioned having a good friendship with actress Hania Aamir.
