Iman Fatima Moves Court Seeking Dowry Return, Monthly Maintenance from Ex-Husband Rajab Butt

LAHORE: Iman Fatima, the former wife of YouTuber Rajab Butt, has approached a guardianship court in Lahore, seeking the return of her dowry, monthly maintenance for their son and financial support for her personal expenses.

According to the petition, Iman Fatima stated that her parents had given her dowry worth Rs8,792,500 (Rs87.925 million? No — Rs8.7925 million) at the time of her marriage, which she alleged had not yet been returned by Rajab Butt’s family. She has requested the court to order the return of the dowry items.

The petition also alleges that Rajab Butt has not provided financial support for the expenses of their son, Kiyan Rajab Butt. Iman has sought monthly maintenance of Rs500,000 for the child, starting from November 2025 until he reaches adulthood.

In addition, she has requested Rs200,000 per month to cover her personal expenses.

According to the petition, Rajab Butt is a well-known social media personality who earns substantial amounts of money and is financially capable of meeting his son’s expenses.

The court has issued a notice to Rajab Butt and sought his response by October 23.

Iman Fatima and Rajab Butt married in December 2024, but the couple separated in 2025 after approximately a year of marriage. They have a son, Kiyan Rajab Butt, but reconciliation efforts reportedly failed following the child’s birth.

Rajab Butt has previously stated on several occasions that he does not wish to resume his relationship with his former wife. He has also maintained that their divorce process has been completed.

Meanwhile, various legal applications and proceedings between the two continue. The petition also refers to the sending of divorce notices.

The claims concerning the return of dowry and payment of maintenance are currently before the court. Further developments are expected after Rajab Butt submits his response, while the court will determine the matter in accordance with the law.
