Federal-Provincial Coordination Emphasized in Next Joint Council Meeting: CM Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti
Quetta: Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti chaired a meeting to review preparations for the upcoming session of the Joint Council of Interests, emphasizing the province’s interests will be strongly advocated at the federal level.
Addressing the session, the CM stated that in the forthcoming council meeting, provincial interests will be prioritized, ensuring decisions uphold broader public welfare. He affirmed the provincial government’s commitment to presenting Balochistan’s cases effectively at the federal level, aiming for constructive resolutions to enhance overall development and prosperity.
The CM reiterated efforts to facilitate federal-provincial cooperation for the attainment of provincial resources and revenues. The meeting was attended by parliamentary secretary for inter-provincial relations Meena Majid, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakil Qadir Khan, Secretary for inter-provincial relations Syed Sikandar Shah, Secretary for irrigation Hafiz Abdul Majid, and Secretary for energy Bashir Ahmed Khan Bazejo, among other relevant officials.
