World Bank Approves $450 Million Additional Loan for Pakistan

Islamabad:The **World Bank** has approved an additional **$450 million loan** for Pakistan, aimed at supporting the **Sindh Flood Emergency Housing Reconstruction Project**.
According to a report issued by the World Bank, the funds will be used for the reconstruction of homes in flood-affected areas. The project will also assist in improving water, sanitation, and health services for the affected communities.
The report further elaborates that this new financial assistance is based on the **$500 million** program approved in 2022, which includes the construction of **410,000 basic residential units** for homeowners in the affected regions.
The additional funds are expected to benefit at least **360,000 more individuals** in Sindh. The World Bank’s report highlighted that this financial support will help scale up comprehensive housing reconstruction efforts for the flood victims.
This initiative is a part of ongoing efforts to rebuild the flood-affected infrastructure and improve living conditions for displaced populations.
