Jamaat-e-Islami Announces Historic Long March from Quetta to Islamabad on July 25 Against Injustice in Balochistan

Quetta:** Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and MPA Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch has announced a historic and peaceful long march from Quetta to Islamabad on July 25, aimed at raising voice for the rights of the people of Balochistan. He accused the federal government, judiciary, media, and national political parties of turning a blind eye to the burning issues of the province, including lawlessness, oppression, and economic hardships.

Speaking at a training workshop for district emirs of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan, Maulana Hidayat claimed that the establishment and Islamabad’s rulers love Balochistan’s resources but hate its people. He said that the people of Balochistan are fed up with forced disappearances, border closures, military interference in politics, and the lack of representation in major national projects like CPEC.

He called on all district emirs to expedite preparations and ensure the participation of all sections of society, especially youth, in the long march. “This will be a historic and revolutionary public movement,” he said.

**Key Demands and Issues Raised:**

* End to forced disappearances and extrajudicial killings.
* Opening of borders to restore livelihoods for millions affected.
* Ban on Iranian oil trade and the expulsion of Afghan refugees condemned.
* Equal share for Balochistan in national development projects like CPEC.
* End to corruption, drug mafias, and extortion at checkpoints.
* Restoration of democratic and constitutional rights for Balochistan’s people.

Jamaat-e-Islami’s central deputy Amir, Usama Razi, also addressed the workshop and claimed that the results of the recent elections were manipulated through Form-47s, replacing real representatives with incompetent and puppet candidates. He said the voice of the people is being suppressed through censorship and illegal actions.

He reiterated that power should belong to the people, and the ongoing democratic and constitutional resistance will continue until justice is achieved.

Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman stressed that the long march is not just a protest but a necessary movement for the survival of the people of Balochistan. “Islamabad wants to starve us by closing borders and pushing millions into unemployment,” he said.

The party has vowed to continue its peaceful, democratic struggle until the system of injustice is dismantled and the path to democratic rights is cleared.
