Heavy Rainfall Expected Across Multiple Cities from July 11 to 17: PDMA Alert

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued a weather alert regarding the third spell of monsoon rains, predicting thunderstorms and heavy downpours in several districts of Punjab from July 11 to 17.
According to the PDMA spokesperson, areas including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, and Wazirabad are expected to experience rainfall during this period. Additionally, cities such as Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, and Jhang may also witness rainfall.
Other districts like Toba Tek Singh, Nankana, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Okara, Kasur, Khushab, Sargodha, Bhakkar, and Mianwali are forecasted to experience heavy showers.
Furthermore, from July 13 to 17, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Khanewal, Lodhran, Rajanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and Layyah are also likely to receive thunderstorms and heavy rain.
In addition to Punjab, heavy rainfall with thunderstorms is also expected in the regions of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while landslides are a potential risk in Murree and Galyat areas.
The PDMA has advised residents to remain cautious and stay updated on the weather conditions, especially in the regions prone to heavy rains and landslides.
