Political Contacts Intensify Ahead of PM’s In-Camera Meeting with Parliamentary Leaders

Political consultations have accelerated ahead of an in-camera meeting of parliamentary leaders convened by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad.

According to sources, Fazl-ur-Rehman contacted Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai and advised him to attend the closed-door session. Sources said Fazl-ur-Rehman reached out to Achakzai three times regarding participation in the meeting.

Sources further revealed that Fazl-ur-Rehman also spoke with Gohar Ali Khan to discuss the prevailing political situation.

Reports indicate that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) will attend today’s in-camera meeting. Fazl-ur-Rehman is expected to be accompanied by Senator Ata-ur-Rehman and Senator Kamran Murtaza.

The meeting is seen as a key effort to build political consensus amid the evolving national political landscape.
