New Monsoon Spell to Affect 20 Districts in Balochistan from July 4 to July 8

Balochistan, Pakistan:The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert for monsoon rains expected to hit 20 districts in Balochistan from July 4 to July 8. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in areas including Sherani, Zhob, Ziarat, Musakhel, Duki, Loralai, Hernai, Sibi, Barkhan, Naseerabad, Osta Muhammad, Kalat, Lasbela, Surrab, Khuzdar, Awaran, Sohbatpur, Jafarabad, Dera Bugti, and Kohlu.

Authorities have raised concerns about the potential for flash floods in some regions due to the heavy rainfall, particularly in areas prone to water streams. The PDMA has advised tourists to avoid unnecessary travel during this period, especially near dams and picnic spots, which may pose safety risks due to the possibility of flooding.

Citizens have been urged to take necessary precautions, including staying indoors during heavy rainfall and avoiding travel in affected areas. Emergency services are on high alert, and the public has been advised to follow all safety guidelines to minimize risks.
