Iran Dismisses Trump’s Claim of Upcoming Talks, Denies Any Negotiation Plans

Tehran:Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim that negotiations between Iran and the United States could take place next week.
Speaking to Iran’s state television, Araghchi said there are no arrangements, agreements, or discussions underway to initiate new talks. “Let me be clear — there is no plan or preparation for starting negotiations with the United States,” he said.
President Trump, while speaking to reporters during the NATO summit, had claimed that the conflict between Iran and Israel is now over, suggesting that both sides were exhausted from prolonged tensions. “They’re tired of fighting. They’re both very happy with the end of the war,” Trump said.
He further added that while the U.S. continues to rely on intelligence beyond just Israeli sources, pressure on Iran will persist. “There will be talks next week, and maybe even a deal,” Trump stated. However, he also emphasized, “I don’t care if there’s a deal or not. They’ve fought enough. Now they’re going back to their world.”
Iran’s sharp rejection highlights the continuing rift and lack of diplomatic progress between the two nations despite public speculation and political signaling.
