Only Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif Managed to Handle Donald Trump’s Unpredictable Behavior: The Guardian

LONDON: The British newspaper *The Guardian* has reported that Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was the only world leader who managed to effectively handle U.S. President Donald Trump’s unpredictable behavior during the Gaza Peace Summit held in Sharm El-Sheikh.
According to the report, Trump’s conduct during the summit left several world leaders visibly uncomfortable. He praised the Italian Prime Minister’s looks, unexpectedly grabbed the microphone from British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and jokingly referred to Canada’s Prime Minister as “Governor.”
However, *The Guardian* noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif remained composed and tactful throughout the session. During his address, he warmly praised President Trump, earning his attention and goodwill. When Trump attempted to approach the stage again, Sharif politely yet firmly stopped him, maintaining decorum—prompting Trump to smile in response.
The publication highlighted that despite Trump’s late arrival, spontaneous remarks, and informal behavior, Shehbaz Sharif showcased remarkable diplomatic skill and successfully kept the situation under control.
The report concluded that Sharif’s calm demeanor and strategic communication turned a potentially awkward encounter into a moment of diplomatic finesse.
