4 Indian Spy Agency “RAW” Operatives Arrested in Karachi, Major Revelations Unfold

Karachi: In a joint operation by sensitive agencies and the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the police, four terrorists working for the Indian intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), were arrested from the Malir Quaidabad area of Karachi. The central suspect, Muhammad Khan, is reported to have visited India more than 20 times, while one of the other suspects has visited six times.
According to the police, the arrested individuals, identified as Muhammad Khan Bario (alias Gulo), Jameen Mullah (alias Jaman), Akhtar (alias Fauji), and Ghulam Qadir (alias Akash), were found in possession of significant materials for sabotage activities, including 4 hand grenades, an AK-47 assault rifle, a sniper rifle, 2 pistols, and photographs, videos, and other materials related to key national installations.
SSP SIU Muhammad Shoaib Meman, in a press conference, stated that Muhammad Khan, a resident of Sijawal, had been in contact with Colonel Ranjit of the BSF Camp No. 59 since 2009. Khan reportedly provided crucial information, including images and geotagged locations of sensitive installations, personnel numbers, and other security details. These activities were carried out after traveling to India, where Khan collaborated with RAW and BSF personnel.
The SSP revealed that the arrested suspects were actively involved in providing detailed intelligence on Pakistan’s military and police locations, particularly in areas like Port Qasim, military bases, and sensitive infrastructure. Their activities included sharing geo-tagged locations and critical data through WhatsApp with Colonel Ranjit, whom the suspects referred to as “Boss.”
The police also discovered that the suspects received financial rewards, as well as alcohol and Indian cigarettes, in exchange for sharing information. During the raids, bottles of Indian liquor and cigarettes were seized from the terrorists.
Moreover, it was revealed that the arrested men had crossed the border into India via the sea route and reported back to the BSF camp in India, where they received training in espionage and sabotage. The suspects were also in possession of a training manual from the Pakistan Army, a highly sensitive document, further confirming the gravity of their espionage activities.
The police have filed cases against the suspects under national security laws. The investigation is ongoing, with further revelations expected as forensic analysis of their mobile phones continues. The seized phones contain records of communications with other Indian numbers, shedding light on the scope of the espionage network.
The arrest comes at a time of heightened security concerns, with relations between Pakistan and India remaining tense following past hostilities. The authorities are investigating whether the arrested individuals were planning a major terrorist attack, though it is too early to make any definitive conclusions.
Authorities have stated that these arrests are a crucial step in countering espionage activities and protecting sensitive national installations from external threats.
