Imran Khan Postpones Protest Movement for Two Weeks Due to Global Situations

Rawalpindi: Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has decided to postpone his planned protest movement for two weeks in light of global circumstances. He made this decision after assessing the international situation’s potential impact on Pakistan.
On Tuesday, Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, had a one-hour meeting with family members at Adiala Jail. The meeting, which took place in the conference room, covered several important topics, including Imran Khan’s health, ongoing appeals, and PTI’s nationwide movement.
Following the meeting, Imran Khan’s sisters, Noreen Niazi and Azma Khan, as well as Bushra Bibi’s sister-in-law, Mehrun Nisa Ahmed, left Adiala Jail.
Noreen Niazi’s Statement
After the meeting, Noreen Niazi spoke to the media, revealing that it had been very difficult to arrange the meeting as Imran Khan had not been allowed to meet anyone for the past week. She informed the public that Imran Khan was fully aware of global events and had expressed concern that these international situations would affect Pakistan. He emphasized the need for unity among Pakistanis during these challenging times.
Noreen further shared that Imran Khan had instructed the postponement of the protest movement for two weeks. Regarding the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) budget, she mentioned that Imran Khan insisted that it should be passed only after consultations.
She also revealed that Imran Khan had called for a meeting with KP’s Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, Taimur Jhagra, Muzammil Aslam, and Shibli Faraz. The budget for KP would only be approved after thorough discussions with them.
