Temporary Inconveniences, Promising Future — Sharjeel Memon on Karachi’s Development Projects

KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that the difficulties currently being faced by citizens are temporary, while the ongoing development projects promise a bright and prosperous future for Karachi.

Speaking about the city’s infrastructure projects and public issues, Memon emphasized that the development initiatives under way in Karachi will serve as milestones for urban convenience and sustainable progress.

He stated that the K-IV project is a longstanding commitment to the people of Karachi, aimed at providing clean, high-quality, and sufficient water to the metropolis. Memon added that all departments of the Sindh government are working in full coordination under the directives of Chief Minister Sindh to ensure timely completion of all development schemes.

Highlighting specific initiatives, he said that the new water pipeline being laid from Aziz Bhatti Park to Urdu University is designed to provide long-term relief to residents. He acknowledged the temporary traffic disruptions caused by construction work but urged citizens to be patient, as these short-term inconveniences will bring lasting benefits.

Sharjeel Memon appealed to the public to cooperate with the government, stressing that these projects are being carried out for their own better future. He noted that projects like K-IV and the Red Line Bus Rapid Transit are not merely construction efforts but part of the Sindh government’s vision to transform Karachi into a modern, well-facilitated, and internationally competitive city.

He further mentioned that the Chief Minister has directed the acceleration of all ongoing works, with immediate measures being taken wherever citizens face problems to minimize discomfort.

“The Sindh government is working with a spirit of public service,” Memon said. “Very soon, the people of Karachi will begin to experience the tangible benefits of these projects in their daily lives.”
