Balochistan Government Discusses Transparent, Public-Oriented Budget for Next Fiscal Year

QUETTA:An important consultative meeting of the Parliamentary Committee for the preparation of the next fiscal year’s budget was held on Friday under the chairmanship of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sardar Fazal Baggti. The meeting was attended by parliamentary leaders and members from the coalition parties of the provincial government.
The meeting extensively discussed the budget proposals for the upcoming fiscal year, covering development priorities, social sectors, and various aspects of financial governance. Emphasis was placed on ensuring that the budget is not only feasible and transparent but also aligned with the real needs of the people.
Chief Minister Mir Sardar Fazal Baggti, addressing the gathering, emphasized that transparency, public welfare, and balance would be the core principles guiding the formation of the budget. He assured that the budget would be formulated with the consultation of all stakeholders to make it effective, comprehensive, and grounded in reality.
He said, “In determining the priorities, the basic needs of the public are being taken into account to present a budget that is not just a collection of numbers but a clear roadmap for real development.” He also underscored the importance of fiscal discipline, austerity, and transparency in the budget formulation process.
The Chief Minister further highlighted that special provisions would be made in the budget for the youth, women, and marginalized communities, ensuring that the benefits of development reach all sections of society equally.
“The consultative process is part of a strategy to leverage political consensus and collective wisdom, which will lay the foundation for a sustainable and balanced budget,” he added.
Mir Sardar Baggti reiterated that the aim is to present a budget that truly reflects the aspirations and needs of the people, ensuring long-term progress and prosperity for the province.
