JI Balochistan Leader Terms Province-Wide Strike a Referendum Against Injustice and Lawlessness

QUETTA:Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and Member Provincial Assembly (MPA), Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch, has said that the successful and peaceful strike held across the province under the banner of the All Parties Conference was a **clear referendum against the oppression and lawlessness of the ruling elite**.
Speaking during meetings with delegations, party officials, and while addressing a session in Quetta, he announced that **protest demonstrations will be held across Balochistan** on Wednesday, September 11, at press clubs and major public locations in district headquarters and urban centers.
> “Organized, peaceful, and united protest against violence, injustice, and lawlessness is the need of the hour. We will not abandon the path of democratic resistance for the protection of rights,” he stated.
Maulana Hidayat strongly condemned recent incidents of bombings and targeted killings in the province, vowing to continue political struggle for the people’s rights.
He also criticized **Israel’s aggression**, stating that the Zionist state had turned into a “rampaging elephant” by attacking **six Muslim countries in recent weeks**, while Muslim rulers and heads of Muslim armies remain **silent and complicit**, limiting their response to mere condemnation.
> “Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. After the criminal silence of Muslim rulers and military commanders, Israel is now attacking Muslim countries one by one,” he said, demanding that Muslim leaders and armies **declare Jihad against Israeli-American terrorism**.
On the domestic front, he criticized the **Balochistan government** for placing bans on **small-scale trade with Iran and Afghanistan**, which he said was essential for survival for many border communities.
> “Instead of extorting poor traders over essential items like petrol and food, the government should take strict action against drug cultivation and trafficking. Those involved in the narcotics trade—including their facilitators and corrupt officials—should be brought to justice,” he added.
