Three Youth Drown While Swimming in Rawal Dam Despite Ban

ISLAMABAD – A tragic incident occurred at Rawal Dam where three young men drowned while swimming, according to the Islamabad district administration.

Authorities reported that the victims had gone to the dam to swim, but all three drowned during the activity. Rescue teams later recovered their bodies from the water.

The district administration reminded the public that swimming in Rawal Dam is strictly prohibited under Section 144, which has been imposed to prevent such incidents. Despite this, violations continue to be reported, raising serious concerns about public safety and enforcement of the ban.

Officials have urged citizens to adhere to the restrictions and avoid swimming in dangerous, unsupervised water bodies to prevent further loss of life.
