India in Disarray as Regional Dominance Claims Collapse: Ishaq Dar

Islamabad:Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has stated that India is in disarray, mourning its diplomatic setbacks, and that its claims of regional dominance have been shattered. Addressing a weekly press briefing, Dar emphasized that Pakistan has effectively countered Indian aggression through diplomatic channels and succeeded in presenting the truth to the international community.
He noted that during his recent visit to China, he held bilateral talks with the Chinese Foreign Minister and attended a trilateral meeting involving counterparts from China and Afghanistan. The visit, which took place after May 10, was aimed at expressing gratitude to China for its support.
Dar highlighted that India had leveled baseless accusations against Pakistan in connection with the Pahalgam incident. He asserted that the entire world is now acknowledging Pakistan’s stance, and that China has strongly supported Pakistan’s position on the matter.
“India lied in its attempt to harm Pakistan, but the truth has come out. Today, Pakistan’s diplomatic success has left India in mourning. We informed friendly nations about the situation, and the global community now fully understands our position,” Dar stated.
He added that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s offer of an independent investigation into the Pahalgam incident was well received by Chinese authorities. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had also tweeted about the visit on the night of May 10 or 11, ahead of the scheduled meeting with the International Arbitration Organization.
The Deputy Prime Minister further revealed that a Pakistani diplomatic delegation led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is currently on a global tour to present Pakistan’s perspective. “The world has recognized Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts,” he said, emphasizing the importance of peaceful resolution and responsible diplomacy, especially between two nuclear-armed nations.
Dar also remarked on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s successful bilateral meetings in Turkey and reiterated that from April 23 to May 11, Pakistan had clearly communicated its position to the world.
“India’s attempts at regional hegemony have failed. Pakistan has used its right to self-defense and presented the facts to the world in an effective manner,” Dar concluded.
