Pakistani Leaders Condemn Attack on Former US President Donald Trump During Election Rally
Islamabad:Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari have strongly condemned the attack on former US President Donald Trump during an election rally.
In a statement issued from the PM House, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif stated that all forms of violence in politics are condemnable. “During this difficult time, our sympathies and well-wishes are with the Trump family,” he expressed. Prime Minister also prayed for the speedy recovery of former President Trump and others injured in the attack.
President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari remarked that he was deeply saddened by the attack on the former US President. “There is no place for violence in politics,” he emphasized, while also extending his best wishes for Donald Trump’s swift recovery.
It was reported that Donald Trump was injured in firing during an election rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where the assailant responsible for the attack was also fatally shot. The incident occurred as the Republican leader was addressing the rally to announce his candidacy for vice president.
