Quetta: Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani Urges Political Workers to Embrace Self-Accountability for Balochistan’s Future

Quetta:Senior politician and former senator **Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Raisani** has emphasized the need to break the political stagnation in Balochistan through **self-accountability and conscious national responsibility** by political workers. He stated that the **progress, prosperity, and survival of future generations** require enduring hardships, not making compromises.
Speaking on Wednesday during a meeting with political workers and delegations from various walks of life at **Sarawan House, Quetta**, Raisani stressed that **dialogue and open discussion** should be encouraged in society to counter the suffocating political environment in the province.
He urged political workers to hold themselves accountable before the **court of conscience** regarding their national and social roles. He also highlighted the need for a shift in educational values, stating that **students should focus on gaining true knowledge rather than merely obtaining degrees**.
“National progress is not achieved through compromises,” Raisani said, “but through perseverance and sacrifice. For a better society, we must engage in self-reflection and adhere to the principles of **nature and humanity**.”
His remarks were seen as a call to action for both the political class and civil society to contribute meaningfully to a more transparent, accountable, and forward-looking political culture in Balochistan.
