Massive Drug Scandal in Pishin: 750kg Opium Seized, Alleged Distribution Among Officials, Four Levies Personnel Suspended

Pishin (UNA) – A major drug scandal has surfaced in Balochistan’s Pishin district following a Levies operation near Surkhab that led to the recovery of 750 kilograms of opium. According to sources, the seized narcotics were allegedly distributed among Levies personnel and a former Assistant Commissioner.
Despite the large quantity recovered, the FIR filed by the Station House Officer (SHO) only mentioned 80 kilograms of opium. In response to the alleged corruption and abuse of power, the Director General of Levies took strict action, suspending four personnel — including the SHO, two clerks (muharrars), and one constable — for negligence of duty, corruption, and misuse of authority.
Further investigation into the incident is currently underway.
