Crackdown on Illegal Mining Intensified, No Leniency Will Be Given: Assistant Commissioner Loralai

Loralai: The district administration has decided to further intensify operations against illegal mining, unlawful extraction of public resources, and unauthorized use of mineral reserves across the district.

According to the administration, indiscriminate action against lawbreakers is underway and no one will be allowed to exploit national resources illegally.

Assistant Commissioner Tehsil Mekhter, Yahya Khan Kakar, said that individuals involved in illegal mining are being given a final warning to immediately stop their activities, otherwise strict legal action will be taken against them.

He added that relevant departments, in coordination with law enforcement agencies, are conducting surveillance and raid operations in various areas. Sources said that after reports of illegal mineral extraction from multiple locations, special teams have been formed to continuously monitor and inspect the affected areas.

During these operations, illegal machinery, vehicles, and equipment used for unauthorized transportation of minerals may also be confiscated.

The district administration stated that illegal mining not only causes loss to the national exchequer but also poses serious threats to the environment, local infrastructure, and conservation of natural resources.

Therefore, strict legal measures are necessary against such elements. The administration also urged the public to report any information regarding illegal mining or misuse of government resources to the concerned authorities so that timely and effective action can be ensured.

Officials said that cases will be registered against those involved in illegal mining, heavy fines will be imposed, and responsible individuals will be arrested and brought to justice.

The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to continue operations without interruption to uphold the rule of law and protect national resources in Loralai.
