Airspace Restored Over Lahore and Karachi After Temporary Suspension

Islamabad: The Pakistan Airports Authority has restored the airspace over Lahore and Karachi following a 48-hour suspension due to operational restrictions. The Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan has issued a new NOTAM (Notice to Airmen), confirming that the affected airspace is now fully available for use.
The suspension was imposed in light of recent regional tensions. Passengers are advised to remain in close contact with their respective airlines, as final decisions regarding flight schedules and routes lie with the carriers.
The alert was issued after what authorities described as a “cowardly act” by India during nighttime hours, prompting a high-security alert at key airports, including the New Islamabad International Airport. As a result, flight operations were temporarily halted, and airspace was closed to general air traffic.
Authorities emphasize continued vigilance while ensuring that normal flight operations resume smoothly.
