ANF Seizes Drugs Worth Rs 48.3 Million in Anti-Smuggling Operations; 8 Suspects Arrested, Including 2 Women

Karachi: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized narcotics worth approximately Rs 48.3 million during a series of anti-smuggling operations across the country. According to an ANF spokesperson, nine separate operations were conducted in various cities, resulting in the arrest of eight suspects, including two women. Over 76 kilograms of illegal drugs were recovered.
In Chaklala, Rawalpindi, 26 grams of weed were recovered from a parcel sent from the UK at a courier office. Near the Islamabad Motorway, ANF recovered 2 kg of heroin, 3.6 kg of hashish, and 1.6 kg of crystal meth (ice) from the bags of two women.
In Islamabad’s Karachi Company area, 1.2 kg of hashish was seized from a suspect, while in the Aabpara Market courier office, 100 grams of heroin and 560 grams of ice were recovered from a parcel destined for Australia.
At the Burhan Motorway Interchange near Attock, 500 grams of ice were recovered from a vehicle, and the suspect was arrested. In Multan, 36 grams of cocaine were seized from a parcel meant to be sent to Karachi from a cargo office.
In the Bhedian Kalan area of Kasur, three suspects on a motorcycle were caught with 7 kg of ice. In Sialkot’s Sambrial area, a suspect was found in possession of 250 grams of hashish and 200 grams of ice.
Additionally, in a remote area of Lasbela known as Dara Goth, 43.2 kg of hashish and 15.8 kg of heroin were discovered hidden for smuggling purposes.
All suspects have been booked under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations are currently underway.
