Heavy Rainfall Alert Issued for Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; 10 Dead, 13 Injured in Last 24 Hours

The **National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA)** has issued a **heavy rainfall alert** for **Punjab** and **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa** today, warning of potential **intense downpours** in the coming hours. The authority has urged citizens to **stay away** from **trees**, **billboards**, and **unsafe structures** to avoid any untoward incidents.

According to the **NDMA**, the last 24 hours saw **10 fatalities** and **13 injuries** due to the ongoing rainfall. The authorities have been closely monitoring the weather situation and have been responding to the aftermath of these devastating storms.

The **NDMA report** further revealed that from **June 26 to date**, a total of **252 individuals** have lost their lives, and **611 have been injured** due to the heavy rains. The casualties include **85 men**, **46 women**, and **121 children**.

The **NDMA** has called on local authorities to be **prepared** and take preventive measures to mitigate the impact of future rainstorms, which continue to cause significant damage in various regions. The citizens have also been advised to remain vigilant and follow safety protocols to avoid further loss of life and property.

As rainfall continues to wreak havoc in the country, the **NDMA** continues to work in coordination with provincial disaster management agencies to provide relief and manage the situation.
