Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli Move to London for a Simpler Life, Reveals Madhuri Dixit’s Husband

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and cricket superstar Virat Kohli, one of India’s most beloved celebrity couples, have reportedly relocated to London — and now, the real reason behind this move has finally come to light.
According to Dr. Shriram Nene, husband of veteran actress Madhuri Dixit, the decision was deeply personal and not professionally driven. In a recent podcast, Dr. Nene shared insights from a private conversation with Anushka, revealing that the couple had grown weary of constant public scrutiny and a lack of privacy in India.
“They wanted their children to grow up in a normal environment, away from flashing cameras and public attention,” Dr. Nene said. He explained that even the simplest activities — dining out, taking a walk in the park, or spending time with their children — became difficult due to overwhelming attention from fans and media.
The couple, who met during a commercial shoot in 2013 and tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2017, now have two children: daughter Vamika (born in 2021) and son Akaay (born in February 2024).
Dr. Nene described their decision to move as emotional, but rooted in a clear intent — to provide their children with a balanced and joyful upbringing, away from the pressures of celebrity life.
Professionally, Virat Kohli remains active and is currently playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2024. So far, he has scored 392 runs in 9 matches, including five half-centuries. But off the field, Kohli and Anushka are now focused on building a peaceful and private family life in London.
