Safaraz Bugti Accused of False Allegations Against sammi deen baloch; She Challenges Him to Prove Claims

Quetta:In a recent interview with a private TV channel, Balochistan Chief Minister Sifaraz Bugti made serious allegations against prominent activist Sumi Din, accusing her of supporting the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and allegedly using peaceful protests to promote BLA’s narrative. Bugti questioned the peacefulness of rallies led by Sumi Din, pointing out incidents where Pakistani flags were allegedly burned or desecrated during these events.
Bugti stated, “The biggest accusation against Sumi Din is that she supports the BLA and acts as its legal voice. The protests, which she leads, not only recruit for the BLA but also spread its narrative. This is not a peaceful rally—these are not the types of rallies where you honor the flag of your country; instead, you burn it and insult it.”
Responding to the allegations, Sumi Din took to X (formerly Twitter), publicly challenging Bugti to present the video evidence of her alleged actions. She said, “I openly challenge Sifaraz Bugti to bring forward this video and show the nation where, when, and on what occasion I did such an act. If he can prove his accusation, I will surrender myself to the law and face all legal actions. However, if he fails to present evidence (which he surely cannot), then he must immediately resign.”
Sumi Din further demanded legal action against Sifaraz Bugti for what she described as “false accusations, slander, and misleading statements,” urging the higher judiciary of the state to take action against the Chief Minister. She emphasized that it was essential to distinguish between truth, lies, and propaganda in front of the public and end this ongoing spectacle.
The exchange between Bugti and Sumi Din highlights the growing tension and political polarization in Balochistan, with both sides engaging in a heated war of words over issues of national identity, sovereignty, and freedom of expression.
