Punjab Government Announces 460 Scholarships for Balochistan Students Under Joint PEEF-BEEF Initiative

Quetta: In a major educational initiative, the Government of Punjab has announced 460 scholarships for students of Balochistan under a joint program of the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) and Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF).
The decision was made on the special directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, aiming to support talented and deserving students from Balochistan in pursuing higher education.
According to officials, the scholarships will be awarded to students at intermediate, graduate, and MS/MPhil levels. Applicants must have secured at least 60% marks in the 2025 annual examinations from government institutions, while MS candidates are required to have a minimum CGPA of 2.5.
BEEF Chief Executive Officer Khalid Mandai stated that applicants’ parents must have a monthly income not exceeding Rs 60,000, and candidates should not be availing any other scholarship at the time of application.
He added that the initiative will help remove financial barriers for talented students and promote access to higher education in the province.
Applicants have been instructed to submit verified documents, including result cards, domicile certificates, and income certificates along with the prescribed application forms. Selection will be strictly based on merit and in accordance with PEEF policy guidelines.
