Maulana Fazlur Rehman Gives Clear Indication on Future Action Against Government

Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), has signaled that he may take action against the government following the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr. Speaking to the media, he mentioned that in the current situation, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif could play a significant role. He also warned that if unilateral decisions continue, political tension in the country would increase.
Maulana Fazl stated that a decision regarding launching an anti-government movement will be made after Eid-ul-Fitr. He added that the decision regarding an alliance with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in this movement will be taken in the consultative council meeting of his party.
Regarding the situation in Balochistan, Maulana Fazl said that if the state asks, they may consider playing a role in the Afghanistan issue.
In terms of security, Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed concern over the increasing incidents of bombings in mosques during Ramadan and the targeted killings of religious scholars. He questioned where the government was in terms of maintaining law and order. He stressed that if mosques and seminaries are not safe, how can ordinary public places be considered secure?
Maulana Fazl condemned the repeated killings of religious scholars, calling it a deep conspiracy against the religious community. He specifically condemned the murder of prominent scholar Mufti Munir Shakir.
