Court Declares Ali Amin Gandapur as Absconder in Case Related to Imran Khan’s Disqualification Protest
Islamabad:In a hearing related to the protest over Imran Khan’s disqualification, the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Islamabad has declared PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur an absconder.
According to *Express News*, the hearing took place in the ATC of Islamabad where PTI leaders Faisal Javed and Waqas Qayyum appeared before the court. The case pertains to the protest by PTI leaders against the disqualification of Imran Khan, which was registered at the I-9 Police Station in 2022.
During the hearing, the presiding judge of the Anti-Terrorism Court, Judge Tahir Abbas Supra, declared the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, and Umar Tanveer Butt absconders. Furthermore, the process to declare Ameer Kiani an absconder has been initiated.
Faisal Javed’s legal team also filed a request to remove the terrorism charges against the accused. The court issued arrest warrants for the absconding defendants and adjourned the case until January 15, 2025, while seeking arguments on the applications.
The case against the accused was registered in 2022 at the I-9 Police Station.
