CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah Emphasizes National Unity, Accountability, and the Role of Dialogue

Karachi:Chief Minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah**, has underscored the importance of protecting Pakistan from external conspiracies and ensuring national unity, political stability, and social harmony. Speaking to the media after visiting **Mazar-e-Quaid** in Karachi, he emphasized that it is the country’s responsibility to safeguard Pakistan from the schemes of its enemies.

### Protecting Pakistan from External Threats
Murad Ali Shah highlighted that **Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah** had given Pakistan as a precious gift, and it is the duty of every Pakistani to protect it from any external threats. “It is our responsibility to protect Pakistan from the conspiracies of its enemies. The government is committed to ensuring political, economic stability, and peace in the country,” he stated.

### Commitment to Democratic Values and Reconciliation
CM Sindh also stressed that **dialogue** is an integral part of democracy. “Negotiations are the beauty of democracy, and they are conducted even with enemy nations. The aim of negotiations is to bring about reform so that individuals or groups can reintegrate into the national mainstream,” he said.

He further added that it is crucial to address and reform the **disenfranchised sections** of society. “Reform of the distressed classes is the need of the hour,” he said, acknowledging the importance of inclusive governance that addresses the grievances of all communities.

### Protection of Minority Rights
The Sindh Chief Minister reaffirmed that all minorities in Pakistan have **equal rights**. He also condemned the ongoing **Israeli atrocities in Palestine**, asserting that “the oppressor should be punished for their crimes.” He emphasized Pakistan’s support for Palestinian rights and its condemnation of the Israeli occupation and violence.

### Tackling Illegal Immigrants
Murad Ali Shah also discussed the issue of **illegal immigrants**, particularly those from Afghanistan. “Sindh has been a cradle of peace for centuries. Both the provincial and federal governments are determined to expel illegal immigrants. During the previous government, a general amnesty was announced for people from Afghanistan. We identified and sent all of them back,” he stated.

### Federal Funding for Sindh’s Development
The Chief Minister also touched upon the financial contributions made by the federal government to support **Sindh’s development projects**. “This year, the federal government has allocated **80 billion rupees** for Sindh’s development schemes. These are projects that the federal government is executing in Sindh,” he explained.

However, Murad Ali Shah also expressed concerns about the lack of meetings between constitutional bodies, emphasizing the need for better federal cooperation. “We have protested strongly to the federal government about the failure to hold meetings of constitutional bodies. Some roads have been constructed with federal cooperation, but more needs to be done,” he added.

### Accountability for May 9 Incidents
Regarding the **May 9 incidents**, Murad Ali Shah stated that those involved in the violence have been punished, and **cases** are ongoing against those responsible. “Those involved in the May 9 events are facing legal proceedings. However, a person is considered a suspect until proven guilty in a court of law,” he stated, reaffirming the government’s commitment to upholding the law.

In conclusion, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of collective efforts to move the country forward. “We must work together for the prosperity of Pakistan, and we remain committed to reform and stability. Through dialogue and cooperation, we will ensure a better future for all Pakistanis,” he concluded.
